How Testing Works With MAS

With out automatic test mode feature, we deliver on that promise of reducing work. Read to learn what test ads are and how you can see them before releasing or updating your games to app stores.

What Are Test Ads

Test ads are simply fake promotional advertisements that are displayed in your game to model what real advertisements would look like. They fill the ad placement spaces where you have added code for displaying advertisements from MAS.

Test ads do not generate any revenue, and will automatically disappear when your game is live.

How Do Test Ads Work

Yodo1 calls test ads from its 3rd party ad network partners once your game is installed on a test device. Once the game is live, Yodo1 detects the presence of real traffic (real users/players) and turns off the requests for test ads so that ad networks know to only deliver live ads.

How Do You Use Test Ads

No extra work is required for you to successfully use test ads. As long as you have successfully integrated MAS and added the correct code for using ad units, you should see test ads when running your game on any compatible mobile phone with an internet connection.
